Raglan International are proud to present this stunning new development located in exciting, unconventional and full of energy - northern Berlin-Mitte, considered one of the most exciting parts of the city with the greatest development potential.
Berlin Mitte is the city district that has gone through one of the most spectacular metamorphoses since the fall of the Berlin Wall. Historical center, seat of government, cultural stronghold and trendy social scene all at the same time - this is where the city that enjoys its reputation for being so endlessly mutable as to be indefinable had found its center. Quite different from just a little ways north of here on Chausseestrasse: Only a few blocks from the established addresses and the boom of the Germany's capital, a potential for development which lay dormant for many years is currently blazing a trail with unexpected power. And now, with SAPPHIRE, it has been given its own landmark.
Already the gateway to the city by the 17th century, today Chausseestrasse is evidence of a new urbanity and vitality. Here, the typical Berlin-Mitte pulse is spilling over into the neighborhood around SAPPHIRE and can be felt in numerous developments and in their spirit of change. Here, surrounded by the creative mix of bohemian shops, temporary clubs, trendy galleries and young boutiques, East and West continue to grow closer together. This is where the spirit of the avantgarde meets a history full of change. Here, exciting breaks are creating a new dynamic all of their own.
Unique apartments by Daniel Libeskind - "Building a place where people live"
No doubt about it: Daniel Libeskind is the poet among the celebrated architects of this world. And once again, the poet has found the right language for a residential building that will simply amaze you.
Bearing the name SAPPHIRE and the characteristic corners and edges of Libeskind's work, the project is located at the corner of Chausseestrasse and Schwartzkopffstrasse in Berlin's district of Mitte, with construction to start in spring of next year.
Libeskind feels that SAPPHIRE is a name that complements the city and its people. After all, he says, a sapphire is not just something pretty, not just surface. “It’s the entirety the counts: the light of the sapphire and it’s softness. But a sapphire is also rough, it’s tough, it’s resistant, it’s bold, and it’s resistant in its materiality as well. That is also a characteristic of Berliners and of Berlin”, said Libeskind on occasion of an interview where he presented his project in Berlin for the first time.
